K-ras gene, located on chromosome 12p12.1, is one of the important oncogenes. It encodes a 21kD KRAS protein and participates in intracellular signal transduction, mainly including RAS/PI3K/PTEN/ Akt and RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK signal transduction pathway.
