Intended Use:



The TianLong Salmonella Enterica/Shigella Nucleic Acid Multiplex Detection Kit is intended for the qualitative detection of Salmonella Enterica and Shigella nucleic acid by Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time PCR) method.


The test is designed to detect DNA from Salmonella Enterica and Shigella in specimens such as human rectal swab samples or human stool samples collected from individual personnel based on clinical and/or epidemiological criteria. The potential candidate personnel to be tested could include, but are not limited to patients with symptoms of infection who are suspected of foodborne disease by healthcare providers, or persons with no symptoms from a population for screening test confirmation or exclusion of Salmonella Enterica/Shigella infection or Salmonella Enterica/Shigella carriage status.
