Intended use:

The TianLong Vibrio Cholerae O139/O1 Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is intended to detect Vibrio cholerae nucleic acid qualitatively using Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time PCR) method.


The kit is designed to detect Vibrio cholerae, DNA in specimens such as rectal swab or stool collected from individuals who meet clinical and/or epidemiological criteria. Candidate for testing may include, but are not limited to, patients with symptoms of infection who are suspected of Vibrio cholerae by  healthcare providers  or individuals without symptoms from a population to confirm or exclude bacterial infection or bacterial carriage status via screening tests.


The test results are used to determine the presence of Vibrio cholerae in the samples tested. During the acute phase of infection, the Vibrio cholerae DNA is frequently detectable in rectal swab or stool samples.
